John Tann Prefabricated Strongroom (PSR)

The prefabricated strongroom is quickly and simply erected avoiding disruption of business and the inconvenience connected with building operations.
Once erected, it is a formidable security unit offering resistance to all forms of attack.

Prefabricated Steel Strongrooms are constructed from a series of heavy interlocking panels, giving substantial and uniform protection. Each panel is constructed from high grade steel plate and incorporates special alloy material designed to offer resistance to all forms of attack.

Tann adamantium adds strength, density and fire resistance to the panel. The interlocking arrangement is such that there is a continuity of alloy protection. All panel connections are effected from the inside of the room.

The floor construction is identical to that of the wall and roof panels in the standard form, there is provision in the floor for alarm and electricity supply conduit entry. Alternatively the floor may be constructed from 6mm thick steel plate.

The absolute minimum floor to ceiling height of the intended site for RDX with panel floor is 2590mm and for RDXL with panel floor is 2289mm. If the strongroom is to be recessed into the site floor, this dimension is struck from the bottom of the recess to the ceiling.
The minimum floor to ceiling for plate floor versions is, RDX 2470mm and RDXL 2164mm.

The strongroom door is supplied with a special frame designed to inter-lock with the prefabricated structure, the clear opening 1930mm high by 813mm wide.

The boltwork is a two way system, secured by 50mm diameter solid steel bolts, which engage into recesses in the door frame, the bolts are driven by a scroll, operated by a handwheel.

The door has a protective monolith of a minimum thickness of 115mm of which 88mm is metal content.

The door may be provided with a wide variety of locking arrangements with a maximum of 4 locks.
Lockings most frequently required are 2 keylocks, 2 combination locks, 4 keylocks or 4 combination locks, independantly arranged or yoked in pairs to provide reserve locking facilities. In all cases the locks are used as servo mechanisms, operating remote locking devices some distance from the locks.

Automatic re-locking devices are fitted in four remote areas of the door, the design is such that an attack on any lock position ensures that at least two devices are activated, these devices are themselves cross locked to ensure that once activated, they cannot be manipulated open by hooks or wires. Special heat sensitive devices are coupled into the re-locking system and are designed ro re-lock the door in the event of a substantial attack using oxy-acetylene equipment.

The locks employed are, in case of keylocks, Tann series 19 high security locks. Combination locks are a four wheel Bankers quality unit. Keys are of stainless steel manufacture and extremely robust and incorporate detachable bits, they are provided in duplicate complete with carrying stem.

Thermic Lance attack. Tann Prefabricated Steel Strongrooms, incorporate a special deterrent to this formidable weapon.
